A Malawi national, Lucius obtained his Masters degree in Economics and a Bachelors degree in Social Science from the University of Malawi. He specialised in Econometrics with particular focus on Theoretical Financial Econometrics. He teaches Quantitative Methods, Econometrics and Financial Economics. A fierce believer in finding local solutions to local problems, he is interested in using statistical and mathematical tools to developing models or analytical approaches that would help in understanding the financial systems of least developing nations like Malawi where markets are inefficient or are missing altogether.
